Version 2.5.3 of Tintii is now available for Linux and other Unix platforms. This new version restores support for wxWidgets 2.8, still the most common version provided with popular Linux distributions. Previously, version 2.9.0 or later was required. Tintii version 2.5.3 for Windows has now been released. This minor update makes a few minor interface and online help improvements, along with digitally signing the installer and program executables for greater user assurances. The new version is available from the download page as usual.

If you’ve tried installing Tintii on your Linux box against the wxWidgets provided by your package manager, you may have found incompatibilities. Tintii has required wxWidgets 2.9 since about the 2.4.0 release, due to its new wxCocoa components needed for 64-bit support on Mac.
