Common issues and frequently asked questions

Always ensure that you are using the latest version of tintii, available from the download page. This is particularly the case if you have installed tintii from a magazine covermount DVD or downloaded from another website, as these do not always provide the latest version.

If you have not received your registration code

After registering tintii, an email containing your registration code will be sent to your PayPal email address. This should normally arrive within a few minutes of purchase. The email will be from sales@indii.org, with a subject line of "Tintii Registration Code". Check that your spam filter has not inadvertently classified the email as junk and moved it to your spam folder.

If you have paid by eCheque, the email will only be sent once funds have cleared.

If you cannot locate the email with your code, contact sales@indii.org so that the code can be resent. It is helpful if you provide your PayPal email address.

If your registration code does not work

Check the following:

  • That you have entered your registration code exactly as it appears in your registration email. Try typing it in rather than copying and pasting.
  • That you are entering the right code. It is a 16 digit (and letter) code contained in the email itself, and is not the same as the transaction number on your PayPal receipt.
  • That you are connected to the internet. Tintii performs an online check that the code you enter is valid.
  • That your firewall software is not preventing Tintii from connecting to the Internet. Try adding an exception for Tintii, or, if all else fails, temporarily disabling your firewall software for registration.
  • That you are using the latest version of Tintii, always available from the download page.

If after checking all the above your key is still not working, please contact support@indii.org.

The standalone app of Tintii is working, but it does not appear under the Filter menu in Photoshop

You may need to manually install the plugin, following the instructions for Windows or Mac.
